I love spending time with my mom Wanda Marrero Velez at markets selling cookies 🍪✨
While at today’s market with thelocalhabitcommunity , God kept placing the word “gratitude” on my heart. And it got me to thinking of something my grandma always says. Whenever I tell my grandma, “It’s going to be a good day,” she always replies, “God has already made it a good day. You just need to change your perspective.” Not every day is going to be a perfect day, but man, is it a good one. I won’t sell every single cookie every time, and that’s okay, because my Creator has already been good to me in ways that have nothing to do with sales, numbers or success. God’s goodness isn’t determined by the outcome of my day or the circumstances I find myself in. He is good when business is thriving and He is good when it’s slow. He is good when doors open and He is good when I have to wait. His goodness doesn’t change with my situation; it remains constant because that’s who He is. Today, I’m grateful for the conversations, the opportunity to connect, the time spent with my mom and the simple reminder that every breath is a gift from Him. Sometimes gratitude isn’t found in getting everything we hoped for; it’s found in recognizing everything we’ve already been given.
“This is the day the Lord has made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.” Psalm 118:24 🤎✨
