A little behind-the-scenes look at what happens when a mobile business books an event…
When Wicked Awakening commits to an event, we’re committing far more than just showing up with coffee.
We order inventory, prep ingredients, fuel our trailer, schedule staff, and often turn down other events because we’ve reserved that date.
So when an event is canceled at the last minute—or plans change and vendors are switched without communication—it has a real impact. It means lost income, wasted inventory, payroll costs, and a date that another community or organization could have booked.
We completely understand that plans change. Budgets shift. Organizers have to make difficult decisions. We respect that.
All we ask is for communication.
A quick message letting your vendors know as soon as a decision is made gives small businesses the opportunity to pivot, fill that date, and continue serving our communities.
Supporting local doesn’t just mean shopping local—it also means respecting the time, planning, and commitment that goes into every small business.
Thank you to the amazing organizers who communicate openly and value the vendors who help make their events possible. We appreciate you more than you know. ❤️☕
