This past week, UVU Culinary proudly competed at the American Culinary Federation National Convention in Las Vegas, and what a week it was! Months of preparation, practice, and dedication paid off as our students took the national stage in multiple categories and made their mark. 👏🔥
🥉 Knowledge Bowl Team – Bronze Medalists
Easton Thurmon, Rebecca Snow, Cooper Todd, Sarah Johnson, and Ellee Judd represented UVU with knowledge, focus, and heart. This team committed countless hours studying and working together. Their dedication earned them a bronze medal at the national level. We’re so proud of the way you represented UVU. Way to go, team!
🥇 Kaylee Snyder – Student Pastry Chef of the Year 2025
Kaylee took home the gold medal and the National Title, earning her place as the top student pastry chef in the country. Her creativity, precision, and dedication were unmatched. Congratulations, Chef Kaylee!

Karen delivered a truly exceptional performance, earning a perfect score of 100, a gold medal, and the National Title. Her discipline, and technique were on full display. Well done, Chef Karen!

Former Student Chef of the Year and National Gold medalist, Lindsay Peck is making waves again this time winning gold in the Freedom Chefs Challenge with her teammate, representing the U.S. Coast Guard!
