Happy King Kamehameha I Day! Today honors the day King Kamehameha the Great, the monarch who united the Hawaiian Islands, created the Kingdom of Hawai’i. Locals celebrate this public holiday by preparing long, beautiful, flower leis that are draped over his statue to honor this great monarch. 🌺
