Grammy D's Dock on the Rock I have always had a dream of selling snacks to boaters as they pass by our cabin - Mark is going to make this dream a reality for me this summer.

after taking last summer off due to COVID-19, we are happy to announce that our current plan is to be open again this summer. our projected open date is July 4th. check this page to varify open dates. keep checking back to see how we are progressing. we have a few updates in progress before we put the boat in the water. we will have a variety of ice cream and ice treats available along with snacks and sandwiches. We have decided to not open GrammyD's this year. It is just to expensive to buy the food and we would have to raise our prices too much. We will miss all of you but if you want to come visit us at the Ogle County fair. We are set up and selling our fresh pure local Honey.

Happy summer everyone. We are not sure if we are going to be able to be out on the river this year or not. We are having to be out of town a lot because of our aging parents. It is a lot of work to get out there and we just haven't had time yet. If we do get out on the river it will be later in the summer, but still honk, yell or wave when you go by!!!!

We will be at the Stillman Valley fall festival selling our freshly harvested raw and local honey. Our booth will be outside. We will also have GrammyD mugs and shirts for sale. Stop in and say hello and get a free taste of Ogle county honey. We will also have our observation hive with us so you can meet some of our hard working bees!!!!

The reason that I always wanted to have a snack stand on the river was so that I could actually talk to and meet the people that we wave to as they go by on the river. This boat is full of some of our "river family". We watch these kids out on the river almost every evening perfecting their skiing skills. Now when they go by and wave, we actually know them. Their great grand father is the captain of his pontoon boat full of beautiful kiddos. We are so glad to know you and love your enthusiasm.

This is our record boat of ALL time. Two stops two days in a row. The most sandwiches to one boat and the most ice cream to one boat. I wish we could find time to be open all season but we really enjoy meeting all the boaters when we do manage to be out there. See you all next year!!! Thank you ALL for a great summer and thank you for your patience, we never expected to be so busy.
