An East Orange gem for over 30 years, Da Bianca serves fresh, delicious Italian cuisine. Da Bianca Trattoria was a dream come true for Bianca Cangelosi Bavand.

After opening one of the first Italian restaurants in Irvine, Bianca and husband Artie seized the opportunity to open Da Bianca close to their East Orange home in 1990. While Artie managed the business end of the restaurant, Bianca developed the menu. Her inspiration was the food from her hometown of San Giuseppe Jato, Sicily -- simple food using only the freshest ingredients (the same food she cooked for her family). Over the course of 25 years, Da Bianca Trattoria has earned a reputation as a beloved local restaurant serving authentic Italian cuisine. Word spread quickly about the delicious pasta, homemade specialties and warm hospitality. Daughter Marjan Bavand Dunn, an Orange native, and her family are now continuing the family legacy of welcoming our neighbors as they celebrate milestones, meet friends and share family dinners. 🇮🇹 SEPTEMBER IS NATIONAL CANNOLI MONTH!

And at Da Bianca, our cannoli comes with a little bit of family history. My mother, Bianca Cangelosi Bavand, immigrated to Orange from Sicily as an adult, bringing many of her treasured family recipes with her. One of those was her mother’s recipe for traditional Sicilian cannoli, the same special family recipe we’re proud to still serve at Da Bianca today.

So there’s no better time than National Cannoli Month to save room for dessert!

We’re honored to make the list!

🥩 Happy National Filet Mignon Day!

August 13 is National Filet Mignon Day, but at Da Bianca, we’re celebrating all week long with our Filetto di Bue.
Pictured here: our incredible 9 oz. grilled filet mignon, topped with Gorgonzola, shiitake mushrooms and chipotle sauce, and served with fettuccine and sautéed spinach.

Tender, flavorful and finished with just the right amount of richness and spice. If you’ve been looking for an excuse to order the filet, this is it. ❤️

Those of you who know Da Bianca Trattoria in East Orange know our beloved, longtime busser Benito. With his long braid and ready smile, Benito has been a fixture at Da Bianca for over 30 years. Benito is extremely hardworking and has two additional jobs cleaning houses in the mornings and office buildings late at night.

Sadly, Benito suffered a stroke on Wednesday, July 15, and was hospitalized. While doing tests, the doctors also discovered he has heart problems. While he can move his right side a bit, he has a long road of physical therapy to regain full use of his muscles.

It would mean so much if we can band together to show Benito how much we love him since he is all alone. Please join me in praying for his full recovery. If you are able to make a donation toward his medical costs (in any amount), it would be most appreciated. Any contribution will let him know that he has people who care about him.
