We specialize in making Italian Ice and Custard and layer them for a frozen treat we call a Gelati! We are open seasonally Mar-Oct at The Outpost T- Sat.

We also offer catered events and online orders for pick up. Contact us to schedule a private event. What is the difference between Italian Ice, Custard, Gelato, and Ice Cream? Unlike shaved ice or snow cones, Italian Ice is a frozen dessert that has uniform flavor throughout. It is smooth and almost creamy because the flavor and fruit are combined during the freezing process. All our Italian Ices are non-dairy and gluten free. We puree real fruit and put it in any of the fruity Ice flavors. Try it and we think you fall in love with the refreshing burst of flavor! Custard, Ice Cream, and Gelato (Italian Ice Cream) are all frozen desserts with differing amounts of milk, cream, sugar and eggs. Ice Cream has the most "over-run" or air content and thus is usually lighter and fluffier than custard or Gelato. Custard and Gelato are more dense, smooth, and creamy than ice cream because they have less air churned into them. This tends to give them a more intense flavor. They are also typically served at a warmer temperature, which makes the flavor seem to melt in your mouth. Gelato typically has less fat content than ice cream, and custard is similar but the difference is that is must have at least 14% egg and 10% fat to be considered a true custard. We can make any of these products, but love the creamy dense flavor of custard. The combination of the burst of flavor from Italian Ice and the smooth creaminess of Custard makes a delectable frozen treat that we call a Gelati. We love it and hope you will too!

Special Flavor (this is the last time I'm making it this year) is Natural Blackberry Italian Ice! Come try it with Vanilla or Chocolate Custard. No artificial dyes or flavors.

Also FYI, we are going to shift our hours starting today to be open Mondays!
