School Breakfast is available to All Students. It's also free of charge for all students. High School Breakfast is Pictured. Middle School Breakfast is similar. Pre-K - 5 have breakfast served in their classrooms; which allows them more time to eat in a relaxed environment.

A message to our community regarding school lunch service:

Yesterday, our high school food service team ran out of chicken sandwiches and hamburgers with 4 students left in the line. Our cook gave those 4 remaining students a choice of PB&J Sandwich & String Cheese, Pancake Dogs, or Strawberry Cream Cheese Bagels. The shortage was then immediately reported to our food service Supervisor and numbers were adjusted for next week.
Our food service crew work hard every day and it is a terrible feeling for our staff to run out of what was menued. Every precaution is taken to avoid this. Unfortunately, student lunch choices can sometimes be unpredictable so it can still occur. (For reference, the previous Monday there were 25 extra chicken sandwiches.) When it does occur, our food service staff always make sure the students still get a full lunch.

Not to rush Fall, as Summer's just getting started for some of us!

I wanted to let you know that school meals will be available to all Onalaska Students for no cost. This is provided through a grant from USDA.

Summer EBT, AKA: SUN Bucks.

SUN Bucks benefits are being issued!

What is Summer EBT?
Permanent, nationwide Summer Electronic Benefit Transfer (Summer EBT) program—also known as SUN Bucks, to support children who lose access to free and reduced-price school meals during the summer months. Summer EBT is separate from SNAP, but benefits are used like SNAP to buy food. Summer EBT provides a one-time $120 food benefit for each eligible child.

Who administers the program?
USDA administers the program nationally. The Department of Social and Health Services (DSHS), in partnership with the Office of Superintendent of Public Instruction (OSPI), is administering the Summer EBT (S-EBT) program in Washington state.

Where can families find more info?
Students not included in the district upload and who may still meet eligibility requirements can apply online at the DSHS SUN Bucks webpage https://sunbucks.dshs.wa.gov/en/.

Families who have questions about S-EBT eligibility, need to change their address, or have general questions should contact the S-EBT Contact Center at (833) 543-3230 between 8 am and 5 pm Monday–Friday (except observed holidays).

Benefits are issued in batches and not by school or district. Children in the same household may not receive their benefits at the same time.

Tuesday - Friday (June 25th - 28th). 8:30 am - 2:00.
Free breakfast is at 8:30. VBS starts at 9:00.
Onalaska Middle School. 280 West 5th St.

All K-6th grades are welcome.

VBS attendance is not required for free kid's meals. VBS is in the Middle School.
