Sometimes the strongest thing we can do… is unplug.

We are heading to Paisano Baptist Encampment for a time of rest, reflection, and renewal.

We’ll be off the grid with little to no cell phone service and plan to return on July 27th.

The world tells us to stay busy.
God often calls us to be still.

Sometimes we get so caught up serving others that we forget to pause long enough to let the Lord refill our own hearts. Even Jesus stepped away to pray, rest, and spend time with His Father.

If you’ve been running on empty, carrying heavy burdens, or simply needing to catch your breath, I encourage you to find your own “mountain.” It may not be a camp in West Texas—it may be your porch, a quiet morning with your Bible, or a peaceful walk—but wherever it is, take time to reconnect with the One who restores your soul.

We’ll see y’all on July 27th.

Until then… keep your eyes on the hills, your heart open to His voice, and never forget that God is already working on the next chapter of your story.

❤️ One Room. One Bible. Countless Stories.

One of my favorite things about our Cheeky Ladies Bible Study isn’t just what we study—it’s who is in the room.

Different ages.
Different churches.
Different backgrounds.
Different life experiences.
Different seasons of life.

Yet every time we gather, we are united by one thing… our love for Jesus and our desire to grow closer to Him.

When you stop and think about it, the amount of wisdom, life experience, testimony, and biblical knowledge in one room is incredible. Every woman brings something unique to the conversation, and we all leave encouraged because of it.

No one has all the answers, but together we learn, we laugh, we pray, we cry, and we remind each other that we were never meant to walk this journey alone.

This is what the Body of Christ looks like—many different people, united by one Savior.

I am so thankful for every woman who has ever walked through the door. You are loved, you are valued, and you make Cheeky Community what it is.

I just want to take a moment to give a very special shout-out to Karen Black and the incredible team of volunteers, sponsors, and community members who made America’s 250th Birthday Celebration in Point Blank such an amazing success. 🇺🇸❤️

From the moment we arrived, it was obvious how much time, planning, and love had gone into every detail. The decorations, the music, the vendors, the children’s activities, the veterans being honored, and the atmosphere of community—it was truly something special.

In a world where we often hear about division, this event reminded us what can happen when a community comes together with a shared purpose. Point Blank and all of San Jacinto County should be incredibly proud. It was organized, welcoming, family-friendly, and full of patriotism and hometown pride.

A special thank you to Karen, whose vision and countless hours of work, alongside so many dedicated volunteers and generous sponsors, made this celebration possible. Events like this don’t just happen—they’re built by people who are willing to serve behind the scenes, often without recognition.

I honestly can’t remember the last time I attended a local event of this scale that was so thoughtfully planned from beginning to end. It truly felt like one of those events you’ll look back on years from now and remember.

Thank you to everyone who gave their time, talents, and resources to make this celebration such a success.
