❤️ Tonight was exactly what I didn’t know I needed.
A room full of women came together tonight. Women who serve. Women who give. Women who take care of families, churches, friends and communities. Women who spend so much time pouring into everyone else that sometimes we forget that we need somewhere to sit down and be poured into, too.
And what struck me most was looking around that room and seeing so many different seasons of life represented.
Different ages. Different backgrounds. Different walks of life. Different experiences. Some women who have walked with God for decades and some who are still asking questions and learning. Some who have already walked through seasons that another woman in that room may just now be entering.
That is the beauty of women coming together.
We aren’t all supposed to know the same things or have the same story. We need each other. We need the wisdom of the woman who has already walked that road. We need the perspective of the woman just beginning hers. We need someone to encourage us when we’re tired—and sometimes we need the opportunity to be that encouragement for somebody else.
Tonight we ate pizza. We laughed. We talked. We opened God’s Word. We were honest about being tired and running on empty. And most importantly, we loved on each other.
No pretending. No judgment. No having to have it all together. Just women reminding other women, “You don’t have to walk this season alone.”
We talked about Elijah and how even after an incredible victory, he became exhausted—and how God met him there. He let him rest. He fed him. And then He spoke. ❤️
You can love God, serve God, and still get tired. It’s okay to sit down and let Him refill you.
I’m so thankful for every woman who walked through those doors tonight—and for the sweet lady who painted this beautiful sign so Cheeky Community Bible Study has a little piece of “us” at every meeting. 🥹❤️
“Call to me and I will answer you…” — Jeremiah 33:3
There was a whole lot of life represented around those tables tonight—a whole lot of wisdom, a whole lot of stories, and a whole lot of love.
