🍕 A New Chapter for Hometown Pizza 🍕
It is with a heavy heart, but also with a great deal of excitement for what lies ahead, that we announce the retirement of Hometown Pizza founder, Dave Desjardins.
For over 34 years, Dave has poured his heart, time, and countless hours into Hometown Pizza, building it into the business and community staple it is today. Now, the time has come for him to step away and enjoy a well-earned retirement alongside his wife, Maria, who retired from the Omak School District in June.
Dave is looking forward to the next chapter of their lives together, spending more time with his grandchildren, taking care of his donkeys, horses, and dogs, working in his yard, and hopefully enjoying a little slower pace after so many years of early mornings and long days at Hometown Pizza.
Dave would like to take a moment to sincerely thank this incredible community for all of the support over the years. Your loyalty, friendships, and continued support have meant more than words can express. He would also like to recognize and thank all of the employees, past and present, whose hard work and dedication helped make Hometown Pizza what it is today. ❤️
As one chapter closes, another begins. We are excited to announce that Dave will be passing the reins of Hometown Pizza to a very successful local business owner and entrepreneur, Chad Demmitt. We believe Chad will do a great job carrying forward the tradition, quality, and heart that our customers have come to know and expect from Hometown Pizza.
The ownership transition will officially take place October 1st. As part of that transition, Chad and the cook he selects will train extensively and exclusively with Dave, learning the recipes, preparation, processes, and all of the little details that have made Hometown Pizza special throughout the years.
While the ownership may be changing, the goal is simple: preserve what makes Hometown Pizza, Hometown Pizza.
Please join us in congratulating Dave and Maria on a very well-deserved retirement and welcoming Chad as he takes on the responsibility of carrying Hometown Pizza into its next chapter.
