🚨 A LITTLE WEATHER + RACE-DAY HEADS-UP FOR TONIGHT! 🚨

Due to the weather, the men’s bicycle race at Aksarben Village has been pushed back to 5 PM, which means getting to Saffron tonight may be a little more challenging than usual.

But have no fear — your Saffron team is here to save the day! ❤️

🚗 THE EASIEST WAY TO GET TO US

The best way to reach Saffron tonight is from the northwest side of Aksarben Village, via Pine Street and Aksarben Drive, near St. Mary’s College.

Once you enter Aksarben Drive southbound from Pine Street, look for the garage parking just before the Blue Cross Blue Shield building— north of the building / behind the building.

👉 There is plenty of garage parking available and the best part? You’ll be right behind Saffron’s building.

So park, take a few extra steps, and come on in. We’ll be waiting for you!

We’re sorry for the inconvenience tonight. Thank you so much for your patience, your support, and—most importantly—for choosing to spend your evening with us. See you tonight

There is a race in the village. Men’s got rescheduled for 5 pm so the parking/entrance to the village is not optimal.

The only access is through pine st and Aksarben village drive to the north west of the village by st Mary’s college.

But on a brighter side, you have the front row view of the race from saffron!! See you soon friends!!

🇬🇷 This Monday. A few tables remain.

For Volume Five of Saffron Community Kitchen, Chef Chris Blazeski is sharing something deeply personal—a menu inspired by his Greek heritage, family traditions, and the dishes that shaped his life.

Think homemade spanakopita, charred octopus, slow-braised stifado, thoughtfully paired Greek wines, and stories that make every course more memorable.

This isn’t just dinner. It’s a seat at someone else’s family table.

📅 This Monday, July 20
🕕 Dinner begins at 6:00 PM

Only a few tables remain. Grab your seats before they’re gone.

Every great chef has a story, and Chef Chris’s began before he could even walk.

His parents opened their first restaurant when he was just nine months old. As anyone in the industry knows, the restaurant quickly became home. His mother still laughs about the day he escaped his playpen by tearing a hole through it, crawled down the hallway, stopped in the kitchen before reaching the bar—and never left.

Raised in New Jersey, the kitchen was where family gathered and his passion for cooking took shape. After culinary school, he mastered the art of pizza (ask him about Midwest pizza if you’re ready for an authentic Jersey opinion), but fine dining was always his true calling.

That path led him to Chef Joel Hassanali, a mentor and now lifelong friend. After cooking in Beverly Hills and Chicago, Chef Chris followed Chef Joel to Omaha, where he has spent the last five years building lasting friendships—including with the team at Saffron, one of his favorite restaurants in the city.

Chef Chris shares this experience alongside his family, visiting Omaha for the very first time. Through each course, he invites you to experience his journey, his Greek heritage, and the memories that shaped him.

Join us for an evening of remarkable food, handcrafted drinks, heartfelt stories, and great company.
