Great investigative work by the staff of the UNO Gateway Student Newspaper! It highlights the importance of supporting student journalism. The Omaha Press Club is proud to support the Omaha Press Club Foundation (which awarded more than $50,000 in student scholarships this year)!

The Omaha World-Herald, once the largest newspaper in Nebraska, has suffered extreme staff cuts after billionaire owner Warren Buffett sold it to a corporate media company in 2020, reducing the staff size to numbers never seen before amid a financial crisis.
