Job brief
We are looking for a professional Line Cook to prepare food to the exact chef’s specifications and to set up stations for menu. Line Cook duties will consist of assisting the head cook with daily tasks. The successful candidate will play a key role in contributing to our customer satisfaction and acquisition goals.

Responsibilities
Set up and stocking stations with all necessary supplies
Prepare food for service (e.g. chopping vegetables, butchering meat, or preparing sauces)
Cook menu items in cooperation with the rest of the kitchen staff
Answer, report and follow head cooks instructions
Clean up station and take care of leftover food
Stock inventory appropriately
Ensure that food comes out simultaneously, in high quality and in a timely fashion
Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers and customers
Requirements
Proven cooking experience, including experience as a Line Chef, Restaurant Cook or Prep Cook
Excellent understanding of various cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and procedures
Accuracy and speed in executing assigned tasks
Familiar with industry’s best practices

It requires someone with experience in developing and practicing standard operating procedures, safety guidelines, new menu items, strategies to improve ex*****on and prep, and help the kitchen become more efficient. So experienced applicants are needed. This will start as mainly taking over the evening shift and developing it, as well as a few day shifts to start implementing the new practices and start training the current kitchen manager.
Develop SOP's, Safety and Cleaning practices, and better procedures
Manage kitchen staff and coordinate food orders

Supervise food prep and cooking

Check food plating and temperature

Portion Control

Schedule kitchen staff shifts

Price menu items in collaboration with the Restaurant Manager

Order food supplies and kitchen equipment, as needed

Train kitchen staff on prep work and food plating techniques

Store food products in compliance with safety practices (e.g. in refrigerators)

Keep weekly and monthly cost reports

Maintain sanitation and safety standards in the kitchen area

Qualifications:

Previous experience in food service or other related fields
Knowledge of common food safety practices
Strong leadership qualities
Ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment
Excellent written and communication skills

As a host/hostess, you will need to be very outgoing and have a positive attitude. Smiles are required. No experience necessary, and with time, you will gain the skills to move to a serving position. Pay is minimum wage plus tip outs from the servers.

We are looking for someone to provide out guests with an extraordinary dining experience. You must be outgoing and personable and able to handle pressure. We would prefer you have experience, but it is not a requirement.
