We are deeply saddened to hear of the passing of Matthew Bishop, a cherished member of our Nebraska restaurant community.
Even though we work under different roofs, the restaurant industry shares a unique, unbreakable bond. Anyone who has survived a brutal Friday night rush or closed down a kitchen knows that we are all one big family. We share the same highs, the same exhaustion, and the same deep respect for the grind. When one of our local crews loses a teammate, we all feel that heartbreak.
To Matthew’s family, and to our friends and colleagues at his home restaurant: Please know that our entire team is wrapping you in love and strength. We know how incredibly tight-knit a restaurant family is, and we stand with you in honoring his memory. Nebraska's hospitality community is smaller and closer because of people like Matthew.
Rest easy, Matthew. You will be deeply missed across the line. 🤍
