Hello everyone, I just wanted you to know that This restaurant is a gem in ParkCity, Utah. I have eaten the cuisines of Keller, Waters, and many other restaurants in San Francisco, NYC , etc. When you visit Utah, and you should, very soon, you must make an effort to dine at Firewood. All good is cooked over firewood, and the care and creativity is world class. Tell Chef Murcko that the Captain sent you. This is an extraordinary restaurant destined to be the first Utah restaurant with a Michelin star. Firewood Restaurant on Main Street Park City, Utah.

Hello, Faithful Friends of the Rising Star,
I have news! The restaurant formally known as the Rising Star has been sold to a lovely new person. She has great plans to offer beverages, small plates and music. The new owner’s name is Micaela Chew. As she has some renovations coming, the plan is to reopen next spring. Please stop by and welcome her to the community and offer her the same unfailing support, that you have shown us over the many years we were there.
Ron is doing currently doing his thing in Park City, Utah, and I am teaching in Seattle. I will keep you all abreast of Micaela’s plans. Have a great summer.

Welcome to Pasta Night at the Rising Star!
We are starting socially distanced dine-in, seating with plenty of room in the garden.
If you wish to dine in, just come on over.
Take out is by phone (503)368-3990, we start taking orders at 3 pm and start serving at 5 pm. Credit or Debit only.

Choose 1 Pasta
Penne (tube shaped)
Fettucine (flat noodle)
Linguini (small square)
Choose 1 Sauce
Pesto (house-made pesto sauce, lots of veggies & parmesan)
Pomarola (rustic northern Italian red with fresh & roasted veggies)
Bolognaise (rustic northern Italian red with black angus beef)
Greek Agliolio (evo, feta, olives, tomatoes, parmesan and veggies)
We add fresh local salad with balsamic vinaigrette and grilled bread for $15

Hello Everyone, Summer was awesome. Covid 19 was a nightmare. But it has been an absolute joy creating good old wholesome and nutritious food here at the Rising Star Cafe. You all have been truly amazing, and patient, We truly wanted to settle into a winter comfort cuisine and warm your bones through November, but alas, outdoor dining is fading. Our tiny inside dining room is simply not suitable for covid conditions that require social distancing. I loved every second of this abbreviated summer. And look forward to future endeavors. The last day of the season is Saturday 9/5/20 I hope we have brought happiness into your lives. Until than, EAT YOUR VEGETABLES ! Love to All.

Hello Everyone, Do to circumstances beyond our control, (family comes first) The Rising Star Cafe will NOT open for business tonight Thursday 8/27/20 Nothing serious. We've been "shaking the tree" hard, and Pepi and I need extra time off this week. We will open for dinner tomorrow at 5 PM 8/28/20 limited seating is still available.
