First time here Memphis in May International Festival!! Spot: H-312. Can’t wait to fire up the smoker and have a great time!! Thank you too Newman Farm Heritage Berkshire Pork for supplying us always with the best product and can’t wait to fire up the brand new cooker made by Blue Bayou Company, man she is a beaut and as always gotta use B&B Charcoal for having the best burning fuel for the pit!! Hope for great turn out and just maybe get to walk the greatest stage of the barbecue world!!

Today we got to share 150 thanksgiving meals, and with the help of our church family we had plenty of desserts, hats, gloves, sleeping bags, and personal care items. I know my family is thankful for this opportunity, and everyone who made this possible!

We got to check one off the bbq bucket list this weekend. We made our way to Murphysboro, Illinois for 38th annual Praise the Lard. And what a contest! We are still taking it all in, when the smoke settled we walked away with a 5th place hog, 3rd place shoulder, and a 1st place rib! Not to mention we are bringing 3 apples home! Congrats to everyone who heard their name called! And shoutout to Swine Life BBQ for their 1st place hog and grand championship. Can’t wait for the next one!

We had the privilege of serving with our church this morning. Passing out bbq sandwiches, shoes, and other essentials. The joy of watching our kids serve in the community is something special. Thank you everyone who came out to help make a difference in somebody’s life today!

While we didn’t get the results we wanted SmokeSlam BBQ Festival, we went out and a great time with family and friends. It really was an awesome contest, and we can’t wait for it next year. Thank you everyone for all the support, all our friends and family tagging us or calling about being in the paper and our live news interview, it really means a lot. Congrats to all the teams who heard their name called! Time for some much needed rest and get ready for the next one!
