I literally just posted yesterday that we were 11 followers away, and you all absolutely blew me away!

When I first started telling people about Wapsi River Bakery back in April and May, and then officially opened the farm stand on June 1st, 2026, I couldn't have imagined how much love I’d receive. Being a small business owner in a small Iowa town means everything to me. Whether you’ve bought treats from the stand, liked a post, shared my page, or simply hit that follow button—thank you from the bottom of my heart. ❤️

Every milestone counts when you're building a dream. And speaking of dreams, this is just the beginning! My ultimate goal down the road is to bring my home-baked treats to your biggest moments. I would love to eventually provide custom dessert setups and sweet treats for your special events, like:
• 💍 Weddings and bridal showers
• 🎂 Milestone birthday parties
• 🎓 Retirement celebrations
• 🎒 School classroom parties
• ...and any gathering that needs a little sweetness!

We are only 11 followers away from hitting 200! 🥹✨

I am currently sitting down and going through the business books to get everything organized—looking at sales, expenses, and even the waste. Honestly? I did so much better than I thought I did! 🎉 I’m still figuring out the best routine to keep everything recorded and documented without overwhelming myself, but seeing this progress makes it all worth it.

We also had our first vendor fair last weekend! It felt so good to get my toes wet and get out into the community. 🎪❤️

My heart is absolutely overflowing over the past two days!🥹❤️

I have to take a moment to give a massive shoutout to the incredible people who have been showing up for my small business:

Dennice Sexton-Phillips stopped over and blew me away by loading up on a massive haul of cookies, cookie cakes, and cinnamon rolls! 🍪✨

My friend Stephanie Davies drove all the way from Illinois just to support my dream and stock up on her own batch of treats! 🚗💨

My Stepdad (Tonya Hawker) stopped by to grab a couple of cookies and a cinnamon roll to cheer me on! 👑

And to all of the new faces—the customers I haven't met yet or don't know well! I am so grateful you chose to shop with me, and I hope to get to know you much better as I continue baking treats for you. 🧁👋

Thank you everyone that came and supported not only me but the other vendors that were here today! It was a good turn out for it being the first one ever! I do have some stuff left over from the vendor fair and prefer it doesn’t go to waste to the rest of today and tomorrow everything is buy one get one of like value. So ex: if you pay for a classic cookie (say chocolate chip) you cannot get a monster cookie for free but you can buy a monster cookie and get a chocolate chip for free or get 2 monster cookies but pay for one! Items will be in the stand once i get home and through tomorrow.
