We know how fast the rumors swirl in small towns, so we wanted to share the news with you ourselves.

After many years of serving ice cream and creating so many wonderful memories, Rich has decided it’s time to retire from the ice cream business.

We know how much Fenwicks has meant to this community, and we know how much Rich means to so many of you. We’re incredibly grateful that he trusted us to carry on what he’s built, and we wish him nothing but the best in this next chapter.

Now, just because Rich is retired doesn’t mean you’ve seen the last of him! We have a feeling you’ll still see him around the shop from time to time, and we certainly hope so. Getting to know Rich has been one of the best parts of this journey, and we’re proud to call him a friend. We hope he’ll stop by to putz around with us whenever he feels like it.

For those who don’t know us yet, we’re brother and sister, Ben and Erin, the owners of The Crazy Cow Creamery in Wolcott. And yes… we actually get along. (Most days, anyway.) We’re honored to officially be the new owners of Fenwicks Ice Cream.

And before anyone asks… yes, Toasted Almond is here to stay. Don’t panic. 😉

Over the next few months, you may notice a few changes around the shop. We’ll be making some updates while working hard to preserve everything that has made this place so special, while adding a few touches of our own.

At our Wolcott shop, we’ve always believed ice cream should be fun. Whether it’s our Name of the Day, creative specials, or other little surprises throughout the season, we love giving people reasons to smile. We hope to bring some of that same fun and excitement here while becoming part of this wonderful community.

Thank you for the warm welcome so many of you have already given us. We can’t wait to meet you, serve you, and continue making memories here for years to come.
