August is in full swing at Mondano.

Fresh summer ingredients. Bold flavors from around the world. Scratch-made dishes you won't find anywhere else.

From grilled peach & burrata salad and charred baby octopus to Jamaican curried goat, Korean gochujang duck, Cuban mojo pork, Italian veal tonnato, and Caribbean papaya salmon ... the August menu is a celebration of summer flavors from around the world.

And, of course, there's always handmade pasta, fresh bread baked daily, and our own handcrafted desserts.

As a relative newcomer in Old Forge, we continue to be amazed at the level of support and encouragement we receive from our fellow business owners and from the borough leadership--what a wonderful place to be! This August, we're celebrating the vibrant flavors of summer with dishes inspired by Greece, Spain, Morocco, Cuba, Korea, Brazil, Jamaica, Italy, and beyond—all prepared from scratch in our kitchen.

🏆 Thank You, Lackawanna County!

We are deeply honored to have been selected by the readers of The Scranton Times-Tribune as the 2026 Best of Lackawanna – Most Unique Menu.

When we opened Mondano, our dream was to create something a little different—a restaurant where guests could travel the world through food, discovering new flavors and new traditions while always feeling very much at home.

To everyone who took the time to nominate us and cast a vote: thank you. Your support, encouragement, and enthusiasm mean more to us than we can say.

This recognition belongs not only to our team, but to every guest who has trusted us enough to try something new—whether it was Jamaican goat, handmade Italian pasta, Vietnamese pho, Lebanese mezze, Spanish octopus, or one of the many other dishes that have found their way onto our monthly menus. And thank you especially to the guests who have suggested that we add some of their favorite dishes along the way!
