You might not know that before the smoker, was a pioneer of the underground metal scene in Burma.

He came to America and traded the mic for a knife — and spent a decade in some of the best kitchens in the country.

He says the kitchen is just like being in a band. Every night is a show, the cooks are the band, and the chef is the conductor. If one person is out of tune, the whole group suffers.

Now he runs the show at Joplin’s in Ojai.

We are very sad to see her go but we know she will excel wherever she goes.
