We’ve got Books at the Cafe happening this morning at 9:30 a.m.! We’re offering $1 off drinks for accompanying adults! Great for toddlers and preschoolers as they get to read a book and do a super fun activity and fun for adults as this is an opportunity for community and an opportunity to have fun with your children without having to put a lot of thought or effort (or clean up!) into it!

We’ve got Books at The Cafe happening this Friday at 9:30! In this time for toddlers/preschoolers we’ll read a fun book (hint: it’s about 🍕) and do an activity that goes with it. Accompanying adults get $1 off drinks for this event and the bonus of not having to prep for an activity or clean up afterwards!

“I ordered a coffee called “The Doug” and my life has never been the same.

Within three sips, my student loans disappeared, my ACFT score went up 75 points, and my car stopped making that weird noise I’ve been ignoring for six months. By the fourth sip, I was pretty sure I could hear colors.

The Doug is so powerful that it allegedly cured my neighbor’s seasonal allergies, taught his dog to do taxes, and solved world hunger for approximately 17 minutes. Scientists are reportedly studying it, but every time they get close, Doug just hands them another cup and they forget what they were doing.

I can’t legally confirm that The Doug cures cancer, reverses aging, or grants immortality, but I can confirm that after drinking one, I felt capable of fighting a bear, balancing the federal budget, and finally understanding Army property accountability.

10/10. If Doug wizard the 2nd ever stops making this coffee, civilization as we know it may collapse.”

PS “The Doug” is a white chocolate latte made partially with half n half to make it extra creamy, then topped with whipped cream, and sprinkled with cinnamon.

The House Cafe, Inc. is hosting a 3D printing class in collaboration with UFM this Thursday from 10:00a.m.- 12:00p.m. We are paying the fees for Ogden students because we believe they are full of such potential, and that’s why we’re here! Let us know if you want to sign up so we can make sure you have a spot!

PS these are the types of things our profits go to! When you buy anything from us, you are directly impacting the students of Ogden to achieve their full potential by giving them a multitude of opportunities!

Full transparency, guys: we raised our prices. Ultimately, this will help us continue to do what we do: help the children and youth of Ogden overcome obstacles, trauma, and poverty, and achieve their full potential. We love them and believe in them and want to do everything we can to work towards this mission, so with all our costs increasing over the years, we had to increase our prices as well. Thank you for being a part of this mission by buying drinks and baked goods here ❤️

This weekend is Ogden’s city wide garage sales! Come by The House Cafe for a map and a drink on Saturday to get started then see what amazing deals you find!

Here it is!!! This weekends Ogden City Wide Yard Sales! There will be copies at the Post office, City office, House Cafe and the center so pick up your maps by Friday at 6pm.

Today we celebrated Ms. Emily’s last day 😭 Ms. Emily stepped in almost 3 years ago with the goal of helping The Way Early Learning Center get up and going and become sustainable and is now saying goodbye as we’ve made so much progress on that. How loving and sacrificial ❤️ She is very qualified and could’ve taken other better paying jobs but believed in what God is doing here and was ready and willing to be a part of it. We are so grateful for you, Ms. Emily, and we will all miss you! She is loved by the kids and the staff and will be so missed! But we’re also thankful she will step in to sub for the summer- again, how sacrificial. AND we’re very thankful she is still a part of all that God is doing here in Ogden in various ways, so it’s not a total goodbye.

Guys, we have THE BEST news!! Books at the Cafe is back! This summer we are hosting this story time for toddler and preschool friends (older siblings are more than welcome to tag along too) where we also do a fun activity that goes with the book. The first Books at the Cafe is happening THIS FRIDAY at 9:30 a.m. 🎉🎉 AND to make things even better, we’re offering $1 off for all accompanying adults as we think it’s a win-win for everyone invited; however, purchasing anything isn’t required to participate; we just love offering events for our community. If you plan to order a drink before story time, we suggest getting here early as we will start at 9:30 on the dot!
