Steve and Jody have been together for more than 50 years!! They have spent many hours together hosting all of their favorite people at Gray Cliff Lodge. They miss seeing all of you. Please join us in celebrating them.

As we rest during our first week of retirement. We want to send a heartfelt thank you to the Ogden community and everyone that has supported us over the year. Without you we would have been done years ago. Know we will miss celebrating all of your special occasions, big events or quiet evenings as much as you miss us. We are excited for the next slower chapter of our lives.

We will continue to post updates here as news unfolds. We will be having an estate sale, possibly selling a cook book and hopefully announcing a new owner soon.

Retirement Announcement

The rumors are true, We are retiring!!

Gray Cliff Lodge Restaurant up Scenic Ogden Canyon has been run by the Sniggs family since 1950s. First by Neal and Lois Sniggs, then purchased by Steven and JoDean Sniggs in 1975. The restaurant has been successful operated by Steven and Jody, for over 45 years. Gray Cliff Lodge has been a place to celebrate with family and friends for years. Their continued success has been made possible by the countless number of wonderful employees and by dedicated patrons. Steve and Jody have decided that their restaurant days have come to a close and are retiring. Gray Cliff Lodge Restaurant will be closing as of September 30th. Serving dinner Thursday- Saturday from 5-9 Sunday 3-8pm. If you would like to come dine before the restaurant closes reservation are strongly recommended. Please call 801-392-6775 to reserve your table.

An open house to say a final thank you to the community will be held on Oct 1st from 2-5 at Gray Cliff Lodge.

Ogden canyon road has been reopened!!

We will be open serving dinner tonight, and Saturday. Sunday we will serve both Mother’s Day brunch and dinner.

Reservations still available call 801-392-6775 to reserve your table.

Thank you to the team from UDOT for your quick work in getting the canyon opened. There is a light in the canyon taking it to one lane for safe travel. The light is just above the narrows so be aware and ready to stop.

State Route 39 through Ogden Canyon is open again after part of the roadway was washed out by the river earlier in the day.

Water has crossed the canyon road and is causing problems. Crews are working hard to get the situation under control.
