Day 6 for Edgar Allen Dough! 🥖 🐦‍⬛

He is alive and kicking! Even though the shop is closed, he’s still the KNEEDIEST employee I have (thanks for the pun, Christin! 😉), so of course I had to come in and get him all fixed up for the day.

He’s officially doubled in size, full of bubbles, and doing exactly what a happy little sourdough starter should. Here’s hoping he keeps up the good work and earns his first loaf soon! 🤍

Conversation amongst friends: ☕️

Me: I’d love to be open 7 days a week from 7 AM to 7 PM, but we’re just not there yet.

Friend: Well yeah, I get it… I mean, who gets coffee at 7 PM?

Me: ME! 😂 I know because I’ve seen me do it! 😂

Maybe it’s a West Coast thing, but coffee has no bedtime in my world.

Me: stares at the jar every 17 minutes anyway. 👀😂

On a sweeter note, my little guy Fearghus surprised me with flowers today because he spotted them and insisted Dad buy them so he could give them to me. 😂🌹❤️ Moments like that make my mama heart so full.
