So my daughter snapped this pic mid-chaos 🤪 while we were setting up, I was actually ok with it so I decided, what a better time to put a face with my page. 😁

I’m Serena Lucero, and food is my joy and my passion. I’ve been a hairstylist for 31 years and I’ve always said that catering/cooking was my second love. ❤️ Over the years, I’ve made and sold cakes, jellies and candy, many times selling them in the salon.
I am a foodie. My husband, Donovan and I have made it a fun hobby to find and try different foods and restaurants to learn about and enjoy.

Well as the world turns, my foodie hobby has now moved its way to first place. When I had a heart attack 6 years ago, I found that practicing charcuterie alone in my kitchen eased my anxiety, made me forget my worries and just felt so rewarding. Then even more rewarding is letting someone else eat it. People appreciate food. 😊 And THAT is what pumps my adrenaline! For my food to make you smile. 😀 Anyway, I’d make boards just to see what they looked like, snap a pic then disassemble it and put it all back in ziplocks in the fridge, OR gift them. *Posting those pics is how this all began. 📸

I have had so many wonderful experiences in my cosmetology career. I’ve made amazing relationships, learned about life, hopefully helped someone, and gained clients I now call friends for life and I know that’s where God has kept me. But now after so long, parts of it have taken a toll on my mental health, which also has shown up in my physical health. (I’m still doing hair, just lessening my hours.)

Thanks to everyone who has supported me so far. I’ve been blown away, flattered, and humbled with how far this “hobby” has gone. I have thought, prayed, studied, then prayed some more and I firmly believe God has opened the doors wide to confirm this is where I belong. I never dreamed I’d be starting a new career in my 50s but I’ve never been more sure of any other choices in my life other than my daughter and husband (who are both a huge part of this journey as well).

Again, I appreciate the support more than anyone knows. Your prayers and support for our future are appreciated and we are excited for what’s to come. 🙏❤️Stay tuned! 🤗
