This has been emotional week for us. So many goodbyes that it breaks your heart. Thank you all for fulfilling a dream for our family. I can honestly say that our mother had left some pretty big shoes to fill! Through our ups and downs over the past two years there was one thing that kept us going. The people. Our community has shown so much understanding and empathy. I cannot tell you how many times we would be absolutely crazy busy and customers offered help, praise, and understanding. Even if we didn’t get it right every time. You all played a huge part in our success. This past Sunday when all was said and done. All employees sat at the counter together one last time to reminisce about all the good times..and even some of the bad ones. When you can look back and have a laugh at some of the most stressful times of your life but know that it made us all grow individually is a blessing. I finally understand why our mother left the cafe for us to run. It was so we could have that level of support. So we could sit down and look back and be proud. The friendships made and lessons learned was a blessing I didn’t know I needed until I turn the lights off one last time. Thank you everyone for the memories, they are something I will hold close to my heart for the rest of time. Cafe 110 West legacy goes with you, mom. ❤️
