The Ocracoke Express Passenger Ferry is a great alternative for day trippers who want to skip the car line and get dropped off right at the dock on the South end of the island.

From there you can hop on the free tram that will shuttle you to multiple stops around the village.

You can also rent golf carts, bikes or 4 x 4 vehicles for beach driving.

It is a super soaker afternoon here on the island, but we sure needed it.
