Yesterday afternoon turned out to be the MOST spectacular day ever! There was literally no one at the beach (except for us and the birds!). The ramps are still chained off so you have to walk on, but it is worth every step. If you are lucky enough to be here today, go to the beach.

If you’ve been to the shop recently, you may have noticed that this lady has gone “missing”. Every year, Jordan and her PopPop take an annual pilgrimage to a national park. This year was no different. What amazing experiences and what memories to be shared between them!! **Quite honestly, we couldn’t think of a better time to be off island exploring Mother Earth (where there are no nor’easters!).

All this being said, here we are—today. We are hopeful the sound class ferries will run. BUT we know there are loads of folks waiting to leave and just as many waiting to arrive. We aren’t sure how the ferry division will figure this out but we are certain they will. Will Jordan get back today? Tomorrow? Monday? Tuesday? We surely don’t know but we are confident that one day—she’ll be back and then we can all sit back and relax—and get some sourdough bread again! Safe travels Jordan!

Onto other news. Highway 12 up near the Bonner (or Basnight) Bridge will need some love. Highway 12 on our north end has been holding up well thanks to the sandbags and Shanon’s endless work. If we have to predict, we’d say it’s likely the ferries won’t run this morning. Happy to report that other than water in the typical places—we are all fine and dandy. Bring on the weekend.
