To my friends, employees and loyal customers I've been dreading writing this post. Unfortunately we have made the decision not to reopen Benito's Pizza Cafe on Mission Ave. What started as a pot fire melting butter turned into a devastating fire that left us having to rebuild from scratch with practically nothing left to salvage. Given the current inflationary environment coupled with supply issues regarding equipment it's not feasible to reopen at this location. We, however, are looking to find another location in the area to reopen in a new capacity. Nothing imminent but a wish of ours to return at some advantageous point.
I miss operating in Oceanside and was looking forward to seeing how the post-Covid operation was going to fare. Unfortunately, we are not able to realize that potential.
My sincere regrets to everyone and hope to see you at some point again in the future.
My thanks as well to all of you who kept us going through Covid and were so gracious to patron our restaurant during a critical time. It will not be forgotten.

We regret to inform everyone that Benito's Pizza Cafe and our neighbor, Angry Chicknz, suffered severe fire damage from a harrowing accidental fire on Saturday. Thankfully no one was injured including our brave fire and rescue heroes from Oceanside Fire, Rescue and Police Departments who came to Benito’s and Angry Chicknz aid. We thank all the generous outpouring of sympathy and offers of help from the community and hope to come back better and stronger soon.

Sun 1pm to 8:30pm

Please call ahead to confirm if you are traveling from a long distance as our staffing may change last minute.

Please note a large part of our business is take-out/delivery and we can be very busy even if our dining room doesn't reflect that.

Our windows and doors will remain open to maximize ventilation. Please dress accordingly. If weather is inclement and we have to close the windows we will close the dining room for dining entirely.

Masks required only for non-vaccinated individuals
Our no-contact pickup and delivery service is now upon request.
