Hey Friends !! Official 4 month deli check in. Crazy that it’s been 4 months, feels like 4 days but also 4 years. First of all, a huge thank you to everyone who has been coming out and showing support. You have been really keeping us busy and we love it! We are so happy we chose Oceanside as the permanent home for SVK. Not only are we down the road from where I grew up and my mom who still lives there but we love the warm welcome and support we’ve received so far !! Considering we basically had our home base Barrier Brewing Co for so long it really made the most sense. Anyway it’s been 4 months of new food and old favorites, new faces and familiar ones, lots of highs and a few lows (broken slicer mid service was a rough one) but overall we are so grateful for the enthusiasm we feel ! We definitely still have many kinks to work out, and probably always will. Some of you may know this but fun fact we started this business with almost zero $. We borrowed a few hundred dollars and were gifted a few more from family and built it little by little and now we’re here still building little by little. Our goal was to show ppl how easy it can be to eat good without eating animals. Over the years our menu has evolved, but our goal has stayed the same. Great food, made cruelty free. Some updates : we’ve tweaked our hours a bit, new hours Thur-Sat 11-8 Sunday 11-6 last deli order 30 min before closing.
Soft serve machine is on the way! Hopefully we’ll have it and get it up and running by next week. We’ve been baking up a storm with the help of our small but mighty team!! And the incredibly talented delights_bydana so keep an eye on that pastry case!! We’ve been making lots of 3 ft hero’s, and we’re always honored to be part of your celebrations. We will have a fun breakfast special this weekend Sat & Sun, a pancake breakfast sandwich. We tried it the other day and it’s BIG!! But so good. Jelly donuts will be available as long as we can keep them in stock . Planning to make about 2 dozen a day. We will have the artichoke cake special this week too! I’m sure there’s more I wanted to say but it’s super hot in the kitchen and the vegan cold cuts aren’t going to make themselves. We are proud of what we’ve built so far and excited to see where this takes us. Thank you so much for being here 🌱💕

Hey friends, I’ve been meaning to give an update for a while but we’ve been crazy busy keeping up with how busy you all have been keeping us so I will get to the update soon. For now thank you for keeping us busy!! We are so happy to be here feeding you ! Also it’s crazy hot and the kitchen is brutal@🐕so we’re going to cut our hours short this week. We want to keep our team safe and happy and we don’t want to melt either , we will be closing at 6pm tonight (Thursday 7/2) and 6pm Friday 7/3 and 6pm Saturday 7/4. As of now Sunday will be regular hours 10-7pm . Stay cool & drink water ! See ya soon 💕🌱

Happy Friday friends! Our new menu is here (almost everything is available) so all those daily specials you love are on the everyday menu. Today we will have BBQ plates and Fried chicken buckets available . Stay tuned for new exciting specials to come. This weekend we’re loaded up on deli meats, fresh deli salads, fresh baked good, lots of great vegan cheeses and more. We ordered a soft serve machine but it won’t be here for a few weeks so in the meantime we’re making chipwhiches and we’ve got Italian iced to keep you cool! We hope to see you this weekend !

Hi Friends, we are looking for one more person to join our team. The position includes deli counter help, serving salads, attending to customers, making sandwiches, serving drinks as well as some kitchen help including light food prep. All positions include washing dishes and helping keep the deli clean so if that’s not for you this may not be a good fit. We are hoping to find someone with some relevant experience (customer service, cashier, food prep, restaurant etc. ) who can handle a faced paced environment. An interest in vegan food is a + . You do not need to be vegan but that would be great too. We definitely need someone who is available Fridays from 5-10pm and on Saturdays and Sundays with flexible hours. Additional days are available too . We offer competitive pay, free meals while working and employee discounts all other times, a fun and supportive work environment and room to learn and grow with us . Happy Friday friends. It’s fried chicken Friday so check out our specials menu. Also some holiday weekends announcements. We are OPEN MONDAY!! Come see us Monday 10-6 for a full menu, cold cuts and salads by the LB and $5 corn dogs. We will have $5 corn dogs starting today all weekend (With a purchase of $16 or more 1 per customer, while they last )

We’re working on an updated menu that will include all of your faves from our specials menu plus some new items so stay tuned. We’re open regular hours 11-9 Thur -Sat and 10-7 Sunday plus 10-6 Monday !! It’s going to be a rainy weekend so come hang, we’ve got seating, parking and bathrooms. If it gets chilly enough I may even make some soup. There will be brunch on Sunday too!

We also now offer 3 & 6 foot heros. Totally customizable !! Email or call us for info.

Hey friends, happy Thursday. Checking in at week 10 of the Deli/Eatery being open. So far we are having a great time, loving meeting so many new people and love to see our long time customers finally get to come to our place! We’ve definitely worked hard to get here and we hope you’re all enjoying it as much as we are. We’ve got a few announcements: We will be open for Memorial Day! That’s right we’re doing a meatless Monday holiday! We’ll be open from 10am-6pm full menu, cold cuts and deli salads will be available. Hoping to have to backyard open soon, we will keep you posted on that. Rice balls are back in the case this week, GF and regular. We’ve got drumsticks and juicy marbles steaks and oshi salmon and we’ve got some oshi cod filets on the way. Surf & Turf? Deli case is stocked with freshly made salads and we’ve got cold cuts for slicing and heros made to order as well as a full hot menu. Nashville hot wings and sandwiches are back too! Cubanos seem to be a crowd pleaser too so they’re back on the specials menu this week. Let us know what else you want to see. We got a bunch of requests for a BLT so it’s on the specials menu today ! This is a great way to try our house made bacon. Ok back to the kitchen, hoping to get some banana bread out to the case today. See you at 11!

Happy Sunday Friends, just a quick reminder that we now have a brunch menu on Sundays! Our regular menu is also available all day, we have fresh deli salads and house made cold cuts available sliced by lb. We’re open from 10-7 on Sundays! Come check out along Islands Only Full Service Vegan Deli and Eatery. There’s plenty of free parking , we have seating and restrooms. We’ve got some great brunch specials today, made to order heros, hot sandwhiches, wings, chicken sandwiches, burgers , salads and more. Also just restocked on shuga pies, lots of great flavors just arrived !! Thanks for an amazing first 2 months! See you all for brunch 💕🌱
