Hi Friends, you’ve been asking so here it is. Our Holiday catering menu. If you’ve ordered before you know that this is a generous meal, if you haven’t you should. This is a complete meal that serves 2/3. All your faves are back, Antipasto platter, turkey 2 ways, herb gravy, mashed potatoes, sweet potato casserole, roasted veggies, cranberry compote, corn bread stuffing, fresh baked rolls with pumpkin butter and apple crisp. All house made & all cruelty free. We will have the preorder link open by Thursday and you can also order in store starting Thursday.

Since we’re in our own space this year for the first time we will also have all the sides, turkey and lots of festive desserts available in store leading up to the holiday. We will be open Mon-Thur that week for holiday meal pick ups and à la carte orders. We will be closed on 11/27 but open the rest of the weekend. More info to come, just wanted to get this out since we’ve been getting lots of calls and messages about it. Happy Friday Friends. It’s fall so we’ve got some fall things happening at the deli. We’ve made a few minor adjustments to the menu, we’ve got a new lunch combo, and we will have lots of fun seasonal dishes in the deli case. We are still working with Crossroads Farm Malverne LI NY so we’re going to have some fresh fall veggies to work with! Soups are back, and we’re keeping the soft serve and adding more fall flavors. Today is Friday so we’ve got bbq plates and fried chicken buckets available all day! Lunch combo is available from 11-4. 😀 As always we are so appreciative of your continued support and we love feeding you! Hope to see you at the deli soon 💕🌱🍁

Hey Friends. Official 6 month check in and some updates.
First off THANK YOU for showing up this weekend to celebrate 6 months at 3116 Lawson BLVD with us! We are so grateful to be part of the Long Island Vegan Food Community and to have received such a warm welcome. We love feeding you and hope to do it for a long time!

Answers to some frequent questions we’ve been getting :
Yes, we cater. If you are interested in catering reach out for a catering menu and our 3 & 6 ft hero menu. We can creat a custom menu for you too.

Gluten Free Options: We do offer a variety of GF options including chicken wraps, cold cut wraps and sandwiches and breakfast sandwiches and many of our salads are GF. All food is prepared in a shared space with Gluten containing products and on shared equipment. Your health and safety matter to us so if you cannot risk cross contamination we may not be the best fit for you.
Other Allergens: our kitchen is NUT FREE, we do not use peanuts or tree nuts in any of our food or baked goods and anything served not packaged in our store is NUT FREE. We do sell packaged goods that contain nuts so please read labels if you are avoiding nuts.
Soy: while not every single item on our menu is soy based we do not have many soy free products and it may be harder to put a cohesive meal together without any soy at all.
A note about our house made deli meats and chicken. All of our meats are made from natural ingredients and contain no oil (except the prosciutto) and are colored with plant extracts. They contain wheat and soy.

Change in Hours for this week. We are short staffed this week (and super tired from the extra day ) so we will be closing at 7pm on Friday 9/11 and Saturday 9/12 . Just an hour early Friday and Saturday this week only. We will try to update google but it sometimes takes a while.

Again thank you all for the amazing love and support you’ve shown us, it’s almost surreal to me to think about how many ppl come from far to eat my food. We’ve seen customers from Westchester, Rhode Island, Connecticut, Nee Jersey, Manhattan, Brookyln and Queens as well as ppl taking rides from all over Long Island.

Hey Friends, it’s deli check in time. We’re heading into our 6 month anniversary weekend soon. Crazy right?!?
How it’s going: Of course opening a food business like any small business has many challenges. So far we’ve dealt with staffing issues, electrical issues, a leak in our ceiling, a broken freezer and the heat has been unbearable at times.

Luckily these issues didn’t all happen at once and we are so luckily to have an amazing support system of friends & family who are always there to help. I truly have never felt more supported in anything I’ve ever done in my entire life and no matter what happens in the future this already feels like a win.

Now the better stuff: We have amazing friends who were there to help us in the deli until we were able to find a permanent team. Thanks so much A Couple Without Borders . We’ve found a small but amazing team and I couldn’t be happier with the people I get to spend my days with. We have partnered with Crossroads Farm Malverne LI NY for the best, freshest local produce and I LOVE creating dishes with the farm produce so much! We’ve been expanding our dessert offerings with the help of our talented team so if you haven’t been in a while def check out the pastry case. Also there’s soft serve ice cream now.

We’ve opened our space to the community and it’s just the beginning of what we have planned. So far we’ve hosted a few fundraisers, a coffee popup (thanks coffee by Ellie 💗✨ ) an art hang with Go Figure Art Hang and will be hosting Monarch Recovery Project NYC for a butterfly release on 8/29.

In the six months we’ve been open we’ve been written up in the Long Island Herald & VegNews and we were even nominated for a VegNews restaurant award for best new vegan restaurant in the country! How wild is that?!? We also received and award from the Vegan Chef Challenge - Northeast for scratch made excellence.

It’s been a really exciting 6 months so far & we will be open on Monday 9/7 (Labor Day) for a 6 month celebration. We will be supporting Humane Long Island We will also have $6 classic corn dogs !!Overall I couldn’t be happier about how it’s going and we are beyond grateful for all of you & your continued support!! 💕🌱

Secret Vegan Kitchen in Oceanside is sourcing fresh greens and seasonal produce from Crossroads Farm at Grossmann's in Malverne as part of a new partnership supporting Long Island agriculture.

Hey Friends, we see we’ve gotten a bunch of new ppl here lately so just wanted to take a minute to reintroduce myself 👩‍🍳 Im Chef Tiffany you can call me Chef Tiff but please not Tiffy ! I’ll keep it short. I’m the owner and chef of SVK. I’ve been a Chef for a long time, I have a background in clinical nutrition and a culinary degree. Late 2020 like many ppl my husband and I were both out of work bc of Covid & I started working on vegan meat recipes and we decided to sign up for some events and markets. We had almost no money so we started very small, borrowed some $ and bought a few things. Every time we did an event and made some $ we put it back into the business. We eventually moved into a commissary kitchen and operated as a popup working out of breweries all over NYC and Long Island. We vended at vegfests in NJ & PA and started wholesaling some of our vegan meats to other restaurants and markets. We finally were able to open a brick and mortar in March 🤯 after doing popups and events for 5 years!! I have so much to say about this journey but I also get so overwhelmed thinking about it and thinking about all the ppl that actually read these posts now. Thank you for being here. Thank you for wanting to eat cruelty free food, even if it’s only sometimes. It matters. Thank you for believing in us even when we didn’t. We have now been nominated for best new vegan restaurant in the nation 🥳🥳 in the VegNews restaurant awards. There’s some really amazing competition in every category, and im beyond proud to have made the list, it’s a win already. It would be really cool if we did win though so if you can please take few minutes to vote for us.
