The Ocean City Boardwalk was built by generations of local families who put heart and hard work into their businesses year after year to make the Boardwalk the beloved destination it is today.

The Boardwalk Merchants, together with the Chamber of Commerce and the Downtown Merchants, are united in supporting 600 Boardwalk as a redevelopment zone.

Why?
We believe the best future for 600 Boardwalk is one rooted in transparency and thoughtful planning and based on facts, not fear. We’ve had conversations with many residents who agree this is the best way forward for our community.

On December 4, City Council is voting to send the case to the Planning Board to determine if the site is indeed in need of the redevelopment designation. A yes vote by Council is the next step forward and allows the Planning Board to bring in experts to make a final determination on the zoning. We invite our fellow community members to attend the meeting at the Music Pier on the Boardwalk and stand with us in support of keeping Ocean City America’s Greatest Family Resort.

The Boardwalk thrives with responsible, local family-owned and operated businesses that create jobs, strengthen the local economy, and protect the family-friendly vibe that makes Ocean City so special to all of us.
