Owen has already fought battles that most people will never face in a lifetime.
Owen was born with TAPVR (Total Anomalous Pulmonary Venous Return) and later acquired Pulmonary Vein Stenosis (PVS). Since entering this world, he has undergone 4 open-heart surgeries and 5 heart catheterizations in an effort to keep his little heart beating strong.
During his fourth open-heart surgery, Owen's SA node was damaged, leaving him dependent on a pacemaker to help regulate his heartbeat.
Recently, Owen suffered another setback when one of his pacemaker leads broke, requiring both the leads and pacemaker to be replaced. Due to his medical past this surgery has to be done by specialists at Children's Hospital of Philadelphia. Owen and his parents will be in PA for surgery and recovery which can be up to a month.
As Owen continues this journey, his family is facing significant medical and travel expenses while focusing on what matters most—helping their little boy heal and thrive.
