In the years that we start the summer season early so is it that it starts to end early also. However, there is still a lot this season has to offer. Cantaloupe are starting to wind down here at McKinley's and there are only 2 more patches of bicolor, Triplesweet sweet corn left so its time to fill your freezer! ๐ฝ๐ฝ๐ฝ
For those who are too busy or don't want to deal with the shucks, put in orders for corn already in the freezer bag. Shucked, washed, blanched, cut off the cob, frozen, and ready for your freezer for a cold winter's evening. Available first come or by order via phone or direct message.
Black Diamond Watermelon ๐ are still readily available in addition to Red Seeded, Orange Seeded, Yellow Seedless, and Moon๐ & Stars ๐, a timeless classic.
Peaches ๐ are currently Cresthaven, a yellow Freestone peach great for fresh eating, baking, or freezing. (We also have peeled, sliced, frozen peaches in a ligh syrup for order as well). We are expecting to have peaches for about 3 more weeks.
Tomatoes ๐
are available by the pound, 10 # box, or 25 # lug as Number One, Number 2, or canning tomatoes. We will have Romas starting to get ready in about a week. Send a direct message for ordering canning tomatoes by the box today or stop by today!
The start of Apple Season is this weekend with Early Gold Apples ๐, an excellent early baking apple but also great for snacking on.
Payton's baked goods are still available by order posted at the market including mini muffins, muffins, and mini loaves with flavors like zucchini, blueberry, banana, peach, and chocolate chip.
Fresh Cut Flowers ๐ are , U-Pick Zinnias, or vased bouquets by order.
