On Friday, August 28, my son, Nykolis was celebrated in such an amazing way. He would have been tickled and happy to see all of the people who showed up for him and for his mamma.
My son told me that I always do too much for others and he always wondered who was doing for his mamma. But on that day and many days before that - my village showed up. My village, my village. Where do I begin? Aunty Dena - Nyk's God Mom - none of this could have happened without you. Period.
Aunty Marceleit - thank you for being there with me through the very last breath and beyond. You were a dope emcee that kept us on track.

The food!!! Thank you Minnie Bells, Town Fare, Tease Southern Kitchen, Eat Play Events and Catering, Chris Evans Catering and Events, Lunch Lady Things, 4neys Catering, Rob Ben's and Renaissance Baking for making this repast the most delicious and most memorable, if I do say so myself! My folks banded together to have a display of Nyk's favorite foods. He loved to eat good food. And these chefs here gave Nyk their best. There are about 100 other people I need to thank.
