July 8-9 from 6-8 pm, auditions for our collaboration with the Dove Center will be held. Spookley the Square Pumpkin: The Musical has parts for kids and adults. Auditioners should come prepared to read and sing, but do not need to have anything prepared or bring anything other than their calendars to the audition. Calendars will be needed to note conflicts with possible rehearsal times. The director will require that at auditions in order to make a rehearsal schedule. The show I’ll be performed the first week in September. Any questions should be directed to [email protected], subject line “Auditions”.
This show is being staged with the full financial support of The Dove Center.

The county is throwing a birthday party for America's 250th celebration on July 18 at the Fairgrounds in McHenry. We are looking for volunteers willing to dress in period costumes and carry one of the 26 versions of the American flag that our country as used throughout its history. Volunteers should be available from 12:15-1:45 and will be part of the processional that starts the ceremony. It's opening night for Into the Woods Jr. and we are so excited! Seating is limited at the theatre, so consider coming to one of our evening shows at Friendsville Friday and Saturday. Just remember to bring a chair or blanket if attending shows in Friendsville.

The show opens this week! Shows at Our Town Theatre on Thursday and Sunday and at the stage next to Friendsville Town Hall on Friday and Saturday. Thursday-Saturday shows are at 7 pm. The Sunday show is at 2. There is no admission fee or reservations. Please note that seating at the theatre is limited. We will open the doors to the theatre 30 min prior to the start of the show.
This production was funded in part by a grant from the Garrett County Arts Council.

This show is the Junior version of Into The Woods, meaning it’s much shorter than the original and it stars only actors under 18 years of age. There is no admission fee. We hope you come out to see how hard these kiddos have worked!
