Subrosa Coffee MLK both locations now under ownership of our dear friends 4008 mlk jr way & 419 40th st.

Subrosa is an independently owned and operated company, with two coffee shop locations in the beautiful city of Oakland. Our minimalist approach keeps us focused on providing the best coffee, pastries and service to our community. We serve Four Barrel, De La Paz and Linea roasted in Oakland and directly traded with small and sustainable coffee farms around the world. We display works by local art programs and participate in community events, appreciating and enhancing our dynamic neighborhood.

We are happy to announce we will be reopening our MLK location for walk up service tomorrow!! Please come see us on Friday 7/3, 8am–1pm.
Thanks so much for your patience and support! We can’t wait to see you!
Our initial hours at 4008 MLK will be
Thursday–Sunday 8am–1pm

419 40th is open daily from 8am–1pm.

Both cafés are operating as a walk up. Please keep 6 feet space in line, wear a mask, and bring your card for payment as we are not excepting cash at this time. Thanks again for your support and understanding throughout this challenging time. We’re looking forward to serving you again!
