Born and raised in Oakland, Frankie has been with us for nearly a year. Frankie says that Jo’s is a special place that represents community and diversity.

“Jo’s is different because of the vibe, the food, the diversity. Although we serve Thai food, ours is unlike traditional Thai cuisine. We not only accomodate the community that has already existed here in Oakland, but serve those coming up.”

The 25th Annual Laurel StreetFair World Music Festival is happening Saturday, August 8th from 11am - 7pm!

We’ll have a booth right out front on MacArthur Blvd, come find us while you enjoy the festival. Our dining room will be closed for lunch that day, but we’ll be open for dinner from 5pm - 9:30pm if you’d rather join us after.

MacArthur Blvd will be closed between 35th Ave and Maybelle Ave for the celebration, so if you’re headed our way, plan for limited parking in the area.

It’s free admission with live music, food, and artisan vendors, fun for the whole family.
