26.2 miles, DONE!
That was the hardest, most painful single event I’ve experienced yet. The pain I can’t even describe, I did it with virtually no training, a cold, a fu**ed up knee & really fu***ng chafed!
My knee giving out at mile 10/11 was the worst thing that could have happened, & it happened! I had to limp walk the 15/16 remaining miles 🙃 I wanted to quit so many times,but I just couldn’t stop & I’m very glad I didn’t! Left every single thing out there today, no question. Thank you all for the support! The biggest thanks goes to my partner in life for being here for me, the amazing support & just being her great self! As with most things, in a way I couldn’t have did it without her 💛 now to put my legs up, ice these mfs & catch some well deserved rest!
Also, shoutout and his Book ‘Can’t Hurt Me’ for pushing me through those excruciating 15 miles of pure pain.
PS: I’ve been told I can’t open Thursday because I need to rest 😂 so I gotta rest Thursday but I’m back open Friday 🙏🏿

I took up running in March. I told myself after 2 half marathons I had to do a full one. This is my 3rd race in 7 months. I didn’t train for this one, at all. I just caught a cold yesterday, my legs are still sore from the light run I did on Thursday & my knee has been bothering me for hella months 😅 yet here I am. Staring down 26.2 miles for the first time ever tomorrow & planning for a sub 4 hour time. This run is going to hurt like f**k. All this to say, don’t let anything stop you from doing what you want to do. In the great words of “Don’t stop when you’re tired. Stop when you’re done” 🫡
