🍎 Our friends at Tarts de Feybesse are bringing an exclusive at The Caffè this Thursday and Friday!

From October 22-23, Chef Monique Feybesse is making an individually sized version of her popular Apple Tatin just for us, featuring caramelized apples roasted in salted butter, vanilla, and warm spices.

And what better way to enjoy it than with our Smoked Salt Maple Latte? Created in celebration of Oaktown Spice Shop’s 15th anniversary, this limited-time drink brings together rich maple caramel, espresso, and smoked salt for a sweet and savory pairing with the Apple Tatin.

Quantities will be limited and available on a first-come, first-served basis, so we recommend stopping by early!

Made with rich maple caramel featuring Oaktown Spice Shop’s Applewood Smoked Sea Salt, Mr. Espresso | Coffee & Machines’s signature Neapolitan espresso, and milk, this latte brings together the sweetness of maple with a subtle smokiness that balances the richness of the drink. It’s then sprinkled with more smoked salt to bring it all together. 

Oaktown Spice Shop has been part of The Caffè since the beginning, with their spices helping us create some of our most-loved drinks. We’re grateful to have such great Oakland neighbors and collaborators who share our appreciation for quality ingredients.

Our fall Chef Collab with Chef Nelson German starts with fresh apples that are sautéed low and slow with Oaktown Spice’s Apple Pie Sugar and Allspice. Whisk Cake Creations 🇵🇭🇺🇸 is back at The Caffè with Apple Pie Cake from October 12–17!

Part pie, part cake, this individually portioned treat is Chef Henry’s apple cinnamon cake layered with salted caramel buttercream and apple compote, then finished with a crunchy almond toffee crumb topping.

Town Biscuits is bringing ✌ flavors of Carolina-style biscuits at The Caffè on October 6 and 7!

Next week, enjoy sweet potato biscuits or their classic biscuits with cinnamon butter. Both are made from scratch and, of course, buttery and flaky! They’re delivered warm and sell out each time + they’re a perfect match for the ongoing Big Apple Chef Collab. 

🏃 Quantities are limited and available on a first come, first serve basis.

Mark your calendars! On Saturday, October 3 from 10 - 11am, astranda bakery is back at The Caffè for a special pop-up.

Stop by for the following treats by baker Eric Chow:
- Coffee Cinnamon Roll: Brioche rolled in organic cinnamon and brown sugar, finished with a chocolate caramel glaze and Mr. Espresso | Coffee & Machines cream cheese frosting
- Apple Cinnamon Roll: Filled with caramel-roasted apples, brushed with dulce de leche, and sprinkled with rye crumble
- Cream Cheese Cinnamon Roll: Brioche rolled in organic cinnamon and brown sugar, topped with chocolate caramel glaze and cream cheese frosting

Eric Chow launched Astranda Bakery in 2020, naming it after his dog and cat, Aster + Dandelion. What started with Eric delivering cinnamon rolls throughout San Francisco from a Prius packed with baked goods has grown into a bakery inspired by both classic and new takes on American pastry.

Before starting Astranda, Eric spent years cooking in some of San Francisco’s most notable kitchens, including Bar Tartine, The Perennial, Bar Agricole, and Tartine Bakery.

The Big Apple Chef Collab is coming back! Created by our longtime friend and collaborator Chef Nelson German, this drink brings together Chef Nelson German’s Afro-Dominican heritage, New York roots, and his take on the flavors of fall. 🍎

It starts with freshly cut apples sautéed low and slow with apple pie sugar and ground allspice from Oaktown Spice Shop. The spiced apple purée is blended with creamy oat milk and Mr. Espresso | Coffee & Machines Neapolitan Espresso, then topped with a rich coconut cream foam. Enjoy it hot or iced.

The Big Apple is available September 28 through October 17. As with every Chef Collab, 10% of sales will be donated to Community Kitchens in support of their work in our community.

Chef Nelson German is the award-winning chef behind alaMar Dominican Kitchen and and a Top Chef Season 18 finalist.
