Our story. Our journey. Our legacy.
After more than six decades, the iconic neon sign that lit up our corner of the world - and our hearts - has been removed at the request of the Village, despite being grandfathered in years ago. It marked not just a location, but a legacy. For inquisitive minds, the vintage neon sign will remain with our family.
Since 1961, Petey’s Bungalow, offering a supper club dining experience, became a tradition for family dining - proudly serving generations. The sign was more than vintage neon - it was visual art, a historic landmark, and a symbol of a dream born when Greek immigrants came to America in search of opportunity. That dream grew into a beloved small business, carried forward with hard work, commitment, love, and resilience. In October 2024, the family supported Petey's much deserved retirement marking the closing chapter of the Petey and Mary era. But the story doesn’t end here.
We’re pleased to announce plans to evolve this journey, when the timing is right, in a new town - one that aligns with our values and vision of supporting small business, celebrating culture, preserving history, and honoring legacies. We are committed to investing in a safe town that prioritizes cultural preservation, supports small business owners, and fosters a sense of community rooted in history and local identity.
To our loyal guests and supporters who stood by us, thank you for making us part of your family traditions. To our faithful supporters, stay connected — the legacy lives on.
With heartfelt gratitude.
