What a weekend we had volunteering at The Oak Harbor Music Festival. We provided Slab City Sammies to all 40 plus bands on both stages. While Jean ran the backstage green room and Big Steve was the MC on the West, People's Bank Stage. Amazing time! Thank you for having us!

Chicken Pablano soup is on the ready today. Chunks of chicken, black beans, peppers, all done up in a Pablano Pepper cream.

Unsure what tomorrow will bring. PSE is shutting down the power here at Slab City Sammies and our neighbors to do a grid check. From 8 am until ? We likely will not be open.

Doing our best to find a few generators to use to keep our inventory chill.

Since we are closed tomorrow, we are having Chowder Friday TODAY!!
That's right, you can score a cup of our Best Of Whidbey Chowder! We have our Smoked Salmon Chowder today only!!
Also, we are running our Dandy Sammie as well. It's our Grill cheese with a dollop of white Smokehouse Mac inside. Yummo!

Just a reminder, we will be closed tomorrow and Monday next week since we will be providing Slab City Sammies backstage at the Oak Harbor Music Festival!

Ham and Bean soup for this blustery kind of day! A classic, comforting, cozy, slow-simmered kind of feel. Smoky ham, creamy beans, like no frills, just solid comfort in a cup.
