If you’ve spent any time on Whidbey Island, chances are you’ve heard stories about Bruiser. For years, this lone elk has called our island home, becoming a local legend and a favorite sight for residents and visitors alike. While elk are typically found in herds, Bruiser has spent much of his life forging his own path, earning both his name and his place in Whidbey history.

This handmade crocheted elk was inspired by that iconic island resident—a reminder of the wild beauty that makes Whidbey so special. With his soft, fluffy antlers and cozy chenille fur, this little Bruiser is ready to find a new home and bring a bit of Pacific Northwest charm wherever he goes.
