Steve and Paul have been making music together for over 40 years. They are both students of Haitian Master Drummer Frisner Augustin, Paul has expanded his understanding of the traditional drumming systems to develop his own unique drum-set and rhythmic style. Steve has learned to play the songs from the Haitian Vodou tradition on his trumpet. Together they bring an interpretation that is both ancient and modern, and always with respect for the music as taught by their Haitian teachers and the ancestors who brought and developed this cultural heritage from Africa to Haiti.
