We have been living in Connecticut for 18 years and have decided that it's time to bring a taste of the South to the North. We fell in love with this combo with a trip to California to visit our family at the Waffle House. Chicken and Waffle styled restaurants are becoming a staple throughout the United States but haven't made its way up North yet. It is my dream to bring it to the North- Connecticut. Many enjoy a succulent, crunchy fried chicken and a soft buttery waffle separate, but together, this dynamic duo is explosive to the tastebuds! Food is our passion. I love to dine and create new recipes together. Double Kay's has even crafted our own secret fried chicken recipe. My dream is to open this local, family oriented restaurant right in our hometown of Norwich, Connecticut. Norwich is a town that is filled with so much culture, history, and beauty. These are just some of the many reasons we were drawn here when we moved to Connecticut 18 years ago. There have been a couple of roadblocks with obtaining the funding for Double K's Chicken & Waffles but that will not stop us from reaching our dream. Which is why your help is needed!
