Good Evening Dixie Friends,

It has been brought to my attention a FB post regarding what we fry our donuts in. And I would like to clarify that we use a premium Palm Oil to fry our donuts. We do NOT use Lard. We still use the original recipe and hand cut our donuts every morning. We are dedicated to bringing you the best classic donuts. Thank you all so much for supporting our little shop ❤️

Hello Friends,
Today was a hard day. We lost our beloved “Mayor of Dixie” Wally Gymr. Walter was a fixture at Dixie, you could find him on the 3rd stool at the counter pretty much everyday. For over 20 yrs he would stroll in just before 8:00 am sometimes sooner. His small black coffee with an equal waiting for him. He would greet everyone who came in. He’d sit for hours talking to his friends and after they left he’d hang out a little longer. If he didn’t show up he’d either get a phone call or text wondering where he was & if he was ok. We had lots of laughs & sometimes arguments, he was a good person and he will be greatly missed by us all, the shop was very different today knowing he will no longer be walking thru the door. Our deepest sympathy to his family & all who loved him. Rest Easy Walter ❤️ your Dixie Crew
