Since 1940, Guernsey Farms Dairy has been a Michigan family-owned dairy processor, building more than 85 years of tradition around wholesome dairy and premium ice cream. Today, our milk comes from fourth-generation family-owned Walnutdale Farms in Wayland, Michigan.
And what better partner to share that tradition with than Carmela Foods? Founded in Michigan in 1992, Carmela grew from one product, one truck, and one customer into a Midwest specialty food distributor serving Michigan, Ohio, Kentucky and Indiana.

🍦 At this Novi Road stop, the milk and ice cream are made on the other side of the wall. The dairy plant has a restaurant and scoop shop right beside it.

Guernsey Farms Dairy, near Northville, is a family business dating to 1940. The restaurant and scoop shop offer a few ways to turn a dairy run into an outing:

✓ Pull up a stool at the soda bar and watch a sundae or shake come together. The scoop shop offers a wide selection of ice cream flavors.
✓ Dinner has its own dairy connection. The restaurant serves buttermilk broasted chicken, using buttermilk made by Guernsey itself.
✓ You can bring part of the stop home. The shop sells cartons of milk and chocolate milk along with ice cream for the freezer.
