It is with a heavy heart that we have decided to sell JoJo’s Food Trunk. It was not the easiest decision to make but we feel it is best. This food truck was a labor of love for me and my dearly departed husband, Chef Rick Barfield. Rick had a unique ability to weave flavors together to create some of the most delicious dishes ever made. We lost Rick very unexpectedly this past October. We mourn him every day as his light and laughter in our lives was extinguished far too soon and is desperately missed. Although we are perfectly capable of carrying on the operations of the food truck, we can’t do it without Rick. We were a team and he was our coach. And just like the Tide, you’ve got to have a great coach guiding you through all aspects of the business. He was our creative inspiration and so much more. We have been generously blessed with the kindness and support of so many. Dr. Jim Hill, we couldn’t have done it without you. Thank you for being such a strong support system for us. We have certainly enjoyed our time serving Tuscaloosa and could not be more appreciative of the fine food truck supporters we have met along the way. Finally, thank you to all of our friends and family who have reached out during these difficult months without Rick. Your love, support, generosity and kindness knows no bounds and we are beyond grateful to have you in our lives.
