Made myself a special cake for my birthday today. Prinsesstarta, Swedish Princess cake. A genoise sponge with a layer of raspberry jam, a layer of creme patissiere, top with whipped cream and covered in marzipan. I added the white fondant border to help hide the flaws. :( Next time I will roll it thinner and do better. Overall, a lovely cake, not overly sweet and it slices well.

Of all the bakes I make bread is probably my most favourite to eat. Even though I know I’m supposed to cut back. Yea, yea, yea! Hopefully this one won’t be so bad. High protein seeded loaf. It’s actually very good. Can be sliced nice and thin and makes great toast. Tastes really good to. And no it is not sour dough. Not a fan.
