So for this winter - We have the opportunity to spend it @ our vacation paradise we bought CHEAP when it was a dirt road and 24 acres of SILENCE

- living and working on New Jersey Ave is loud !

Obviously we won’t be open today - The restaurant is currently flooding we are watching it on our cameras .
PLEASE stay off flooded roads as the wake you are creating is causing a lot of damage to our properties and those of our neighbor s.

Maui's Dog House will not have Salty Balls for the last few days of the Season -- Before you all start being disappointed and telling us you thought about them your whole 3 hour drive down here ( We love that - but let us explain)

The company we have been gettin potatoes from stopped growing them at the end of 2025 ( Fun Fact potato crops are always 12 months behind) . They are not planting because of the CRAZY California laws for farmers - So a company that is 4 th Generation and has been growing for YEARS just stopped production on a great selling item. ( Actually they didn't plant a few this year )

This is DEF an us problem and we will do our best to source another similar potato for next season.

Just PLEASE be kind ... WE know how disappointing it is , We know , We know, We know ... It is sad to us -- Knowing the family and they are awesome.

We have a list in our menu of all the “ Devastating “ events that have happened to our little restaurant in the 27 years since we have been opened . A customer came up to us today and said “ Did you really survive all this ?? I said yeppers and we are still here .
Tonight I came across an article written right after Hurricane Sandy in which we got flooded in our house, warehouse and restaurant and it SUCKED - but reading the article reminded me so much of our daily motto - Pick a task and start from there ❤️

In season we delegate a lot of tasks to our employees but on weekdays in September it’s just us - So we pick a task do it and move on to do whatever needs to be done to get the restaurant open and our customers happy and fed well -

NOTE : Mondays Fries will be cut by Maui because that is one task I avoid doing doing at all costs 🤪🤪.

Monday 11 am - 4 pm
Closed Tuesday & Wed for MUCH needed Sleep
reopen Thursday - Saturday 11 am - 7 pm

We are working with a small, Yet mighty & tired Crew and it has been UNGODGLY humid these past few days ....so please be patient with us .
