Tex Mex Connection Celebrating over 40 Years of Food, Friends and Fun! It is a blending of Texan and Mexican cuisine, which began sometime in the early 1900's.

At the heart of it is the fajita. Mexican cowboys or vaqueros-who were paid partially with beef-created this staple. They grilled the meat, wrapped it in a tortilla with whatever fixings they liked and the fajita was born. Tex Mex at it's finest!!! Over the years this cuisine has continued to develop and we have provided our own interpretation along the way. Sometimes our accent is south of the bo

rder, and other times further north. Tex Mex Cuisine: Characterized by the adaptation of Mexican food by Texan cooks. Often exemplified by the extensive use of meats and spices (foreign and native) resulting in creative seafood dishes, great steaks, tender ribs, and juicy pork as well as our interpretation of standards like chile con queso, nachos and fajitas. Not Mexican, not Texan, just Tex-Mex. Serving the community since 1984, Tex Mex Connection is a family owned 3-star certified green restaurant. We recycle, compost, and have implemented many other environmentally friendly changes over the years. We offer several gluten-free and vegetarian options, as well as daily additions created by our culinary team all prepared fresh daily. We have 16 beers on draft, a great selection of 100% agave tequilas at an unbelievable price and of course our famous house margaritas. Our summer Tiki parties are the premier events of the summer with live music and dining under the stars. Located just 3 blocks from the Lansdale/Doylestown line and across the street from the Septa 96 bus line. We are easy to get to with no worries about drinking and driving. Our annual 5k run has been running strong for 31 years and is the top weeknight run in the area. Primarily benefiting Wissahickon Trails: a local environmental organization, the margarita run has been imitated but not duplicated! This is our corner stone charity event which raises 10’s of thousands of dollars every year contributing to the $100,000+ we contribute to local charities each year.

As much as we love bringing these events to our community, they are a significant investment to put on, and unfortunately, we haven't had much luck with the weather this summer. Between extreme heat and rain, it's become increasingly difficult to provide the fun, outdoor experience we want our guests to have.

We're hopeful that cooler temperatures and better weather will allow us to bring the Tiki Party back in September, so stay tuned for updates!
