Benedict’s Morning Heroes was founded by husband-and-wife team Mike and Abby Rakun with one mission: to make mornings delicious again. Since opening our first location in Wayzata in 2018, we’ve brought bold coffee, craveable brunch, and an entire menu of Eggs Benedicts to communities across the region. Known for our warm hospitality, cheery vibe, and the question we ask every guest—“How do you like your eggs?”—we’re proud to be a family-owned concept rooted in creativity, community, and good old-fashioned breakfast joy. Now with locations in Wayzata, Rochester, Fargo, and soon North Mankato (opening June 2025!), Benedict’s is all about bringing people together over the most important meal of the day.

Yesterday our Chef Jem helped support FOCP BackPack Food Program by participating at the Crave Mankato event. Her Banofee Pavlova featuring all homemade banana custard, whipped cream, banana toffee, and vanilla bean caramel was a hit! With the stiff competition this year, we didn’t walk away with any hardware. But we were excited to be able to participate again and can’t wait to create another standout dish again next year!

We had the amazing opportunity to serve our delicious Monkey Bread at the MY Place / Mankato Youth Place Inc Block Party fundraiser last week! It was great to see so many people in the community to come together to help raise funds for such a great cause. If you have time or funds to donate, this is an amazing group of people that help out those that really need and appreciate it!

Thanks to everyone that voted for us for Best of the Block Party! We were honored to share the award with the Mankato West Culinary Team!
